Product Description This right angled SATA cable features a standard (straight) male Serial ATA connector as well as a right-angled (male) SATA connector, providing a simple 18in connection to a Serial ATA drive even if space near the drive's SATA port is limited.Once the right-angled SATA connector has been inserted into the drive's SATA data port, the shaft of the cable is seated flush with the rear panel of the drive, eliminating the clutter of excess cable at the connection point - an ideal solution for small or micro form factor computer cases. The right angled SATA cable features a thin, narrow construction that helps to improve airflow within the computer case; the cable also features a rugged, yet flexible design that makes it easy to make the SATA connection as needed. As an alternative, also offers an 18in Left Angle SATA cable (SATA18LA1), which offers the same simple installation as this right angled SATA cable, but allows the cable to be connected to the SATA drive from the opposite direction.

As Promised March 8, 2010 Robert J. Micklas (Cinnaminson,NJ) Required when you add a "bare bones" internal SATA disc drive. I believe most PCs lack a data plug for a second drive. My PC had an extra power plug so I didn't need a separate power cable. Worked with no problems.
Good product good price March 7, 2010 Andy Royce Wanted a cable to fit a disk drive and did not need to spend the kind of money they wanted at Fry's...this fit.
Perfect in size and operation March 6, 2010 Jose Perez III (Atlanta, Georgia USA) I bought two of these along with 2x Samsung Internal Half Height DVD-W Supermulti SATA 22X Lightscribe. They are perfect in size to reach from any drive to the motherboard. Everything works fine and fast. The way it should be. If you buy a burner you'll need these since very few come with any cables at all.
90 degree cable in sensible packaging February 20, 2010 Morganna Wolf (Pacific NW) Well constructed 90 degree cable (on one end) packaged in a small zip top bag.
The cable is just a basic cable. The thing I really appreciate about this is that the packing makes sense for the product. I bought a few extras on hand so the next time I needed one I did not have to get gouged at a brick and mortar store. This simple packing allows for easy storage without a lot of extra bulk.
It's cheap and it works... February 19, 2010 C. B. Smith (Hawaii) ...what more do you need to know? Mine came with one straight end and one 90 degree end which angled down on my horizontally-mounted hard drive (the most common configuration). Need a SATA cable? This works.
