| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The GA-40 is a dedicated, easy-to-operate guitar/bass tuner with automatic pitch detection. In Guitar mode it supports seven-string guitars (7B through 1E), and in Bass mode it supports six-string basses (Low-B and Hi-C). With the precision you expect from KORG, the GA-40 indicates the pitch quickly and accurately. The LCD needle-style display provides both the accuracy of an LCD as well as the easy viewing of a needle indicator, and the display has been enlarged for even better visibility. You can also use the built-in high-sensitivity microphone to tune an acoustic guitar.

Great digital tuner July 11, 2010 Guitar Player (Phoenix, AZ) This is a very good digital tuner. So simple to use. Hit the note, and watch the needle on the display. Tighten strings, and repeat. Very handy and small enough to drop in your guitar case pocket.
Great Product June 6, 2010 M. Brown (Roswell, Georgia, USA) This tuner help me out very much it works great and is easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone.
Tunes well with acoustic & electric May 24, 2010 Percival Puddle (Raleigh, NC USA) I've used this to tune both my electric and acoustic guitars. You just plug in an electric guitar directly, while the acoustic sound is received through a microphone. The accuracy on the electric direct connection is fantastic--lets you know if it's even slightly off. With my acoustic, the accuracy seems to drop slightly (perhaps due to lesser accuracy of the microphone?). Or, maybe, my acoustic guitar tuning mechanism just stinks because it's cheap. Either way, it will get you tuned up.
The visual feedback is great--it'll light up green if you're in the right range, or red if you're off (flat or sharp). This sure beats tuning by ear.
Nice tuner May 24, 2010 TanamaLuna (NY, NY) Pretty easy to use.
Don't have much experience with guitars, and it's my first tuner (so I don't have much to compare it to).
Despite this, seems like a good tuner, and I got to tune my guitar in less than 10 minutes.
Great Little Tuner May 17, 2010 J. Cristiani (Glendale, Arizona, US) I bought the KORG GA-40 to replace my 20 year old KORG GT-2 Tuner which still works and is one of the reasons why I bought another KORG tuner. I wanted a smaller one with a Digital Display and the KORG GA-40 works great and is about 1/3 of the size of my old KORG GT-2 Guitar Tuner. It also sold for a good price on Amazon.
