One of the two molded female connectors had an open ground. I spliced in an old (25 years) Radio Shack connector that I found in the cellar. Wasted my money on this item.

This came in handy while addressing the need to have to audio output choices from my pc. I ran connections from this device to my desktop speakers and my surround sound. This makes watching videos on the web so much easier and puts sound next to my tv.

I bought two of these to use to allow my computer to play thru my 5.1 sound system. It is great for the average user. However make sure you have the right style of cable to connect to the ends. This as you can see goes from a male to two females.

right outa box does not work. in order to hear out of my phones I must plug it in about half way, for some reason when its fully plugged in i get some strange noise and really low sound

the quality of the split headphones is uneven. the diameter of the jack is a little small, and requires repeated insertion to loosen it up. otherwise, product works well
