Customer Reviews: Good for Older BabyJuly 19, 2010 GraceW These little maracas are cute and colorful and my son likes them, but he puts the handle end in his mouth and I realized they are a potential hazard b/c the end of the handle can jab him in the throat. I put them away for now, until he gets old enough to play with them as musical instruments and doesn't try to eat them.

I bought two different maracas because I wasn't sure what size to buy. They had some at the library for infant time and my daughter loved them. These are the perfect size for a young baby to hold and shake. My daughter has just turned 6 months old (we've had these for a couple months) and this has become a favorite toy.

my daughter is a music therapist and uses these in her therapy sessions, they work great
