Harmonica Man July 22, 2010 Raymond G. McPherson (Jacksonville, North Carolina) Pleasantly satisfied with my new harmonica. I've been playing the harmnica most of my life, mostly for the fun of it, but occasionally doing special music performances. My new harmonica model is different from my usual Marine Band, but just as easy to play and most pleasant to the ear.
the best harmonica to date... July 10, 2010 neverdonethat (tucamcari) I received theLee Oskar Major Diatonic Harmonica, C instrument on time. I have had a great time with it. It doesn't take as much effort to play it as compared to the lesser priced harmonicas, and it sounds great..
just as expected June 24, 2010 G. Thompson I tend to order most items online from Amazon because I can be sure of the quality and service. This was no different. I was unable to find a Lee Oskar harmonica locally and checked online. Amazon links provided the harmonicas at a very good price so I ordered one. It arrived in a timely manner and is working just fine. As I get more proficient, it will be even better!
Really consider Lee Oscar over other Harmnonicas! June 5, 2010 Constantin Novoselsky I'm new to harmonica and started with cheap Hohner GLH (Great Little Harmonica). It works OK but is cheaply made and lips sometimes get caught in corners and upper reeds dont sound well. So I decided to upgrade - thanks harmonicas are relatively inexpensive.
My natural choice at first was going with Hohner. To make long story short, I bough Hohner Golden Melody on Amazon. While waiting (very impatiently) for the shipment got Lee Oscar Major Diatonic in C at the local music store. I loved it so much, it played effortlessly, all notes sounded bright and clear, I could do bending more easily. And a week later, when Golden Melody arrived, it did not stand the competition. The grip was not as good, the sound was "thin".
I am still gonna keep Hohner as a backup, but the next harmonica will be Lee Oscar again. And don't forget replacement reeds (though I dont see any on Amazon)...
Great Product May 20, 2010 Yeranui Kaloyan (Tijuana,Mexico) This a great product to start learning the harmonica. Okay, there are cheaper ones, but also of less quality.
So if your are serious about learning to play the harmonica this is the ideal product.
