totally surprised by quality/sound July 20, 2010 Mark C I was completely blown away with this guitar. For ~$75, i wasn't expecting much. But it turns out the Jasmine has a very nice appearance and it has a rich, deep sound that rivals my sister's $400 martin acoustic. Another nice surprise was the neck that reaches out to the 14th fret before it hits the body, something that is generally missing on sub $100 guitars. It has an unvarnished surface that is quite smooth to the touch and which i personally like (since i find varnished guitars to get "sticky" after extended use or during the summer months and you don't have to wipe your fingerprints off after every use). The build quality is excellent. The single downside is that only the guitar is included, so if this is your first guitar, you'll need to go shopping for the other base accessories (extra strings, gig bag or case, picks, tuner, capo, etc...). But this is definitely a great guitar, easy to play (i imagine it'll be even easier when i change out the strings), and I highly recommend it.
Nice Guitar July 16, 2010 Maria Murray (Austin,TX) My first guitar and I do not know how to play yet, but I plan on learning. Very well made and came nicely packed. I can hardly wait to learn to play, happy I bought this one.
So far I'm pleased. July 15, 2010 James J. McGowan (CANYON COUNTRY, CA, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have never lifted a guitar, let alone play one, but I'lm trying to learn. The Jasmine was inexpensive, looks great and was easy (after several trys) to tune. The strings, all steel, sound wonderful even to my untrained ear , when played. What a difference tuning makes!
I'm starting out with very simple songs from a "self help" book, which for me is essential.I try to set aside 30 to 60 minutes a day to practice and to learn. I'm 77 years old and having lot's of fun. So far the guitar is great.I hope my enthusiasm continues.

Shipped a Broken Guitar July 6, 2010 Billy Oertel 2 out of 18 found this review helpful
I've seen people on television such as Jimmy Page and Neil Young make nice sounds come out of the guitar by holding the long part in one hand and using the other hand to pinch and wiggle the strings. So you can imagine by excitement when my guitar finally arrived at my house. However, much to my dismay, when I held the long part in one hand and used the other hand to pinch and wiggle the strings, only bad sounds came out. I tried painting the guitar a different color, but this did nothing to help. I can only assume that the device I was shipped is broken and needs repair.
A Fantastic Buy July 3, 2010 Jeremy 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I recently ordered this guitar, at the fantastic sales price of about $74. That being said, this guitar is worth every penny of that, and every penny of its suggested retail price.
As someone who has owned and played many stringed instruments (double bass, electric guitar, bass guitar, violin) I have to say that this guitar is truly of quality of construction. It came with strings that seem quite sufficient for even an intermediate guitar player (I ordered bronze phosphor strings, but I'll keep those as a backup, since I really like the sound of these as well.) There were no visible blemishes, misalignments, or construction problems. It also has a lifetime limited warranty, which is certainly a bonus.
The only gripe I have is that it does not have strap pins, but a lot of acoustic guitars do not.
Overall, the quality of the construction and the sound of the instrument sound excellent. I would recommend this guitar to anyone up to intermediate skill level on guitar.
